INTRODUCING

Simply Nourished

Thoughtfully baked for busy minds & families.

Our Story

It started with a simple question:
Why does feeding our children have to be so hard?

There are breakfasts to organise, dinners to plan, lunchboxes to pack; never ending snacks — and somehow we're expected to make all of it nutritious and affordable.

For families with neurodivergent children, there can be yet another layer to navigate.

Texture, smell, appearance, predictability and food preferences can have a huge influence on what a child is able to eat. A food can be perfectly nutritious, but if the texture is wrong, the smell is overwhelming or it simply doesn't feel safe or familiar, it isn't going to make it into their tummy.

And that can leave parents feeling stuck.

The Challenge

I found myself thinking about the gap between what we know children need nutritionally and what is actually realistic for busy families.

There are plenty of convenient lunchbox foods, but convenience can come with highly processed ingredients, added sugar or limited nutritional value. On the other hand, making everything from scratch can take hours every week — and that's simply not realistic for many families.

Then there is the cost.

Buying individual "healthy" snacks and lunchbox products can quickly add up, while families are already dealing with the rising cost of groceries.

And perhaps hardest of all is the guilt.

Parents are constantly told that we should be baking, meal-prepping and providing perfectly balanced food. But sometimes getting something into your child's lunchbox that you know they will actually eat is an achievement in itself.

I don't believe parents need more pressure. I believe they need better options.

Why Simply Nourished exists

Simply Nourished was created to sit somewhere in the middle.

Food that is convenient without feeling like an afterthought.

Simply Nourished began with a simple idea: make wholesome lunchbox food easier.

Food that is thoughtfully made with nutrition in mind, while still being familiar, enjoyable and practical for children.

Food that recognises that not every child eats the same way — and that feeding a neurodivergent child isn't about forcing them to fit into a conventional idea of "healthy eating".

We're interested in the bigger picture.

  • What nutrients are children getting across their day?
  • How can we add more protein, fibre and nourishing ingredients to foods children already enjoy?
  • How can we make nutritious choices easier for parents?
  • And how can we create food that feels accessible to children with different sensory needs?

More than just baking

Simply Nourished isn't about creating a "perfect" lunchbox.

It's about making everyday food a little easier.

It's about taking some of the planning, preparation and pressure off parents while still creating food that has a nutritional purpose.

It's about celebrating the foods children can eat, rather than focusing on everything they won't.

And it's about recognising that a nourishing family doesn't have to look perfect.

Sometimes it's a homemade dinner.

Sometimes it's a lunchbox full of favourites.

Sometimes it's a muffin with a little extra protein and fibre tucked inside.

Sometimes it's simply making it through the day.

That's where Simply Nourished comes in — thoughtfully baked for busy minds and families.
